The 2021 ASHRAE Virtual Design and Construction Conference takes place March 8-10, 2021. The inaugural conference seeks to fill a need for ASHRAE members and practitioners using or planning to apply virtual design and construction in the design, construction and operation of HVAC systems. The conference will provide an in depth look at the current state-of-the-industry and near future outlook in such areas as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), machine learning, LiDAR Mapping, photogrammetry, and “digital twin” technologies as they are currently being applied to integrated design, building information modeling, project management, cost estimating, scheduling and sequencing, pre-fabrication, off-site construction, modular construction, robotics and automated installation, 3D printing, facility management, asset management and operations.
The proposed conference theme is “Reality – how advanced technologies are being used today; and, Potential – new applications for advanced technologies.” The program will include invited speakers and a call for presentations. The conference scope encompasses the design, construction and operation of HVAC systems in the Built Environment through the use of advanced technologies. The content will emphasize case studies with specific “how-to, how we did it, what we plan to do next to improve,” current best practices.Virtual Meeting
IREC’s new Green Buildings Career Map is an interactive career map highlighting the breadth of rewarding career opportunities in building energy efficiency. The Green Buildings Career Map features 55 jobs in energy efficiency for buildings across four different industry sectors, as well as over 300 potential advancement routes—all developed with input from industry subject matter experts.
On Tuesday, May 11 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time, join us for an educational webinar to hear directly from the creators of the map! IREC’s Joe Sarubbi and Mary Lawrence will explain in detail how to use all of the many features of the map, how the map can best suit your goals, and details on the exploding opportunities in the green buildings and energy efficiency industry.Virtual Meeting
”Our world has experienced fundamental change in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The HVAC community continues to respond addressing challenges in how we design, build, and operate buildings.” said Christine Reinders, 2021 Conference Chair. “We continue to evolve, adapt, and innovate, confronting these challenges head on. The 2021 Annual conference in Phoenix will focus on critical environments, hot climates, and future proofing. The technical program, including the research summit and professional development, fosters sharing of knowledge to allow us all to serve our communities and solve society’s greatest challenges.”
The 2021 ASHRAE Annual Conference technical program is comprised of eight tracks, selected to represent areas of focus common among ASHRAE membership.Virtual Meeting
The Ventilation 2021 Conference takes place Aug. 15-18, 2021 at the Sheraton City Centre in downtown Toronto. Inaugurated in 1985, the "Industrial Ventilation Conference" takes place every three years allowing time to develop new research and technology applications and to document the findings. The conference has rotated locations and organizers between Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. The 2021 conference will be hosted by ASHRAE.
The proposed conference theme is “leading edge industrial ventilation technologies for a low-carbon environment.” The program will include and call for papers and separate call for presentations. More information to come regarding the Call for Papers and other important deadlines.
The goal of the conference is for international engineers, practitioners, researchers, scientists, and regulatory personnel working in the specialized industrial ventilation field to share recent advancements from a global perspective in the field of ventilation and contaminant control.Toronto, Canada
