Data-Driven Partnering: Collaboration That Counts
NIBS membership offers numerous benefits for the next generation of building scientists. From architecture undergrads to engineering grad students, membership provides new opportunities for education and networking. Student members enjoy the highest discounts on event registrations, where they can connect with leaders and top organizations in the building industry.
Students also enjoy discounts on products like the National CAD Standard and Whole Building Design Guide. These resources help students entering the building industry to stay on top of the latest expert guidance and innovations. The WBDG also offers courses for students to supplement their studies in the built environment. Access to these resources for student members is critical for those advancing the built environment.
NIBS invites students to make an impact in the building industry by attending events, participating in councils, and learning from professionals with diverse backgrounds. Students will be able to participate in leadership positions on councils and gain hands-on experience developing new research and reports alongside industry professionals.
Each year, NIBS awards the Betty and Mort Marshall Memorial Scholarship to students pursuing a career in architecture or engineering at a Historically Black College or University. Through this important recognition, NIBS helps encourage the next generation of building industry leaders.
I encourage more young people to join NIBS and get involved in different councils so that they can positively impact our industry.
