The National Institute of Building Sciences is set to raise the following membership rates for individual members on February 1, 2017. This is the Institute’s first increase in dues in more than 25 years. In addition to covering inflation, this nominal increase will also allow the Institute to effectively continue its ongoing efforts to lead the industry and support the advances in building sciences and technology, improve the performance of the nation’s built environment, reduce waste and conserve energy and natural resources.   • Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC)
  • Building Seismic Safety Council (BSSC)
  • buildingSMART alliance (bSa)
  • Commercial Workforce Credentialing Council (CWCC)
  • Multihazard Mitigation Council (MMC)
  • Off-Site Construction Council (OSCC)
  • Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC)

Sustaining Organization Membership
This membership is open to organizations in the public interest or industry sectors desiring to provide additional support for and participation with the Institute to achieve the goals and objectives established by U.S. Congress (Public-Law 93-383). Sustaining organizations may designate up to five individuals from their organization to be Institute Members.

This membership is for corporations, trade or professional associations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, individuals or others desiring to provide additional support for and participation with the Institute's buildingSMART alliance® and sponsor the efforts to develop national standards for BIM and other data standards. Alliance Sponsor organizations may designate up to 10 individual members from their organization to be Institute buildingSMART alliance members and will have their logo listed on the buildingSMART alliance supporters’ webpage.

The National Institute of Building Sciences is a nonprofit organization with an Internal Revenue Service Classification of 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. Contributions to all 501(c)(3) organizations are tax deductible by corporations and individuals as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.
