Wanda Lenkewich

Wanda Lenkewich harnesses her lifecycle expertise in engineering and construction, commissioning, and facility management to advance cybersecurity and resiliency of critical infrastructure. Lenkewich is the CEO of Chinook Systems Inc., leading an interdisciplinary team whose passion is the care and protection of building systems and controls. She has a passion for digital transformation and continues to enrich Chinook’s technology through development and integration that will help protect and extend the life of buildings. Lenkewich is an industry advocate and founding fellow of the Control System Cyber Security Association International - CS2AI.

Lynn Burns
ISSM & FSO, HDR Engineering

Lynn Burns is an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Facility Security Officer (FSO) for HDR Engineering in Colorado Springs, CO. He has a wide variety of security experience including 20 years in the United States Air Force where he served as a computer technician and network installer supporting the National Security Agency, Air Force Technical Applications Center and the National Reconnaissance Office.

In addition to his day job, Burns is the President of NCMS - The Society of Industrial Security Professionals, a non-profit that has provided training for contractor security professionals for nearly 60-years. As the President of NCMS, Burns is a non-voting member of the National Archive’s Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO) National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee (NISPPAC). He is also the chairperson for the NCMS ISSM Community and the host of the monthly NCMS Live series “Ask the ISSM”.

Dr. Ivan Panushev
Principal Partner Solutions Architect for Engineering, Construction, and Real Estate, AWS

Dr. Ivan Panushev is the Principal Partner Solutions Architect for Engineering, Construction, and Real Estate at Amazon Web Services (AWS). He also serves on the advisory board of the Big Data Program at the Center for Innovation Education at Rutgers University.

Prior to joining AWS, he was Head of Strategic Partnerships at MakerBot, the global leader in desktop 3D printing. Dr. Panushev is the former co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Horizontal Systems, acquired by Autodesk in 2011, which laid the foundation of Autodesk BIM 360 and became the company’s fastest-growing cloud offering.

He developed sections of the National BIM Standard (NBIMS) and served as Vice President of Engineering at Building Works, Inc., where he co-authored two books on building technologies published by McGraw-Hill. Dr. Panushev holds Doctoral, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degrees in engineering and design, all from Harvard University.

Professor Carrie Sturts Dossick, P.E.
Professor of Construction Management, Associate Dean of Research, College of Built Environments, UW

Professor Carrie Sturts Dossick, P.E. is a Professor of Construction Management and the Associate Dean of Research in the College of Built Environments, University of Washington. Dr. Dossick also holds an adjunct professor appointment in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and is currently the Vice-Chair of the National BIM Standard -US Planning Committee. Dr. Dossick co-directs the Communication, Technology, and Organizational Practices lab in the Center for Education and Research in Construction (CERC). Dr. Dossick has over two decades of research and teaching experience focused on emerging collaboration methods and technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM). She is an active member of the National Institute of Building Sciences BIM Council, and the Academic Interoperability Coalition (AiC). Current research and teaching projects include Cybersecurity for Large Institutional Owners, a Pankow funded project on Owner Decision-making and Project Delivery, The Core BIM Module for the National BIM Standard US, an Introduction to BIM for Construction Management Certificate with Skanska, a new online Certificate for digital fabrication workflows for concrete formwork with Turner Construction, and the IB Index with the University of Technology Sydney. Recent work includes BIM-based information exchange between design, construction and operations, BIM Standards and Processes for the Port of Seattle, the use of Virtual Reality for Facilities Management Training, and BIM workflows for Preconstruction Services. Johnny Fortune
BIM Manager, PRIME AE Group

Johnny Fortune is an experienced technology leader and subject matter expert in BIM and IT for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Owner/Operator (AECO) industry. He currently serves as the BIM Manager for Prime AE Group, Inc., where he develops and implements company-wide BIM strategic efforts. Mr. Fortune has a long history in both design and construction with over 20 years of experience in CAD and BIM management. Throughout his career, he has successfully helped many professionals adopt various levels of design and construction technology; from hand drafting to CAD, to 3D CAD, to BIM and VDC. His vast experience includes developing BIM strategies, standards, training, workflows, and integration with external stakeholders. His educational background includes computer science, engineering technologies, construction management, instructional design and technology, and performance improvement.

Currently, he is a member of several national committees, including the National BIM Council, the National BIM Program, the National BIM Standard, the National CAD Standards, and the USACE Industry BIM/CIM Consortium. He is a contributing author for several national standards documents including the USACE and VA BIM requirements and has presented at various technology conferences such as Autodesk University, AEC Next, and BIMForum.

David Spehar
Senior Account Executive, dRofus

David has over 30 years of experience in the AEC industry and has been a registered architect since 1994. He was an early adopter of BIM and has been an advocate of leveraging emerging technologies since 2003. David joined dRofus in 2017 as a Client Solutions Manager and is currently a Senior Account Executive responsible for assisting clients with successful adoption of dRofus through transitioning to data-driven design workflows. In addition to his experience with applying design technologies, David has a strong background in architectural project management. He was a project manager for over 12 years before shifting his focus to implementing technology in large design firms. David is a well-known subject matter expert on design technology and has regularly presented at various international industry events throughout his career.

Sebastian Barthelmess
Cybersecurity Expert and Enterprise Solution Architect, Newforma

Sebastian Barthelmess work for Newforma as a Cybersecurity expert and Enterprise Solution Architect with a proven track record and demonstrated results influencing strategy, innovating security, and protecting companies. Generally acting as a catalyst for change in both large enterprise and SMB organizations, now he spends much of his time mentoring other developers and security experts. He brings a broad perspective and hardened security experience to the table with skills originating in 20 years as a full-stack developer, graduating to 10 years of Enterprise Solution and Cloud Architecture, and culminating in the past decade as Director at several of the largest and most successful tech companies in the world. In his spare time you’ll likely find him speaking at tech events and hackathons, or contributing to open-source projects as he is still an avid Linux supporter and developer at heart.

Robert “Bobby” Prostko
Deputy General Counsel, Intellectual Property and Cybersecurity, and Chief Privacy Officer, Allegion

At Allegion, Bobby Prostko is the Deputy General Counsel, IP and Cybersecurity, and Chief Privacy Officer, where he works closely with global business teams, engineering and IT professionals, and regional attorneys to lead Allegion’s global privacy program and support digitization efforts for Allegion’s broader seamless access strategy. He also serves as Managing Director of Allegion Venture’s $100M corporate venture capital fund. Prior to Allegion, Prostko was a patent attorney at Krieg DeVault LLP in Indianapolis, and an intellectual property associate at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP in Los Angeles.

He has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and computer science from the University of Louisville, a J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law, and completed his executive master’s degree in cybersecurity from Brown University.

Rachel Riopel, AIA, NCARB

Rachel Riopel is HDR’s Digital Practice Leader, a registered architect, with over 16 years of experience in multidisciplinary architectural practice and technology leadership. She has been involved with both international industry and government focused collaboration efforts, and champions practical approaches to innovation and applied design technology. Her mission is to empower HDR’s practices with effective applications of technology. Her primary focus is to maximize efficiency and improve quality of project delivery by driving measurable results.

Connor Christian, PE
Senior Product Manager, Procore Technologies

Connor Christian is a licensed professional engineer in Minnesota with 16 years of experience that he has focused on bringing new technology into daily practice by creating procedures and tools that can be used by everyone, by developing processes that meet the needs of his partners and clients, and by interfacing with other industry experts to ensure the latest methods are being employed.

Christian has been able to work towards these goals because of a unique background that combines his experience in construction, consulting, and software development. In his career Christian has worked on projects in industries that include that include transportation, buildings, and water management. He uses his practical experience and technical knowledge to find the best BIM solutions for his clients.

Outside of Procore he has worked to make BIM successful for the industry as a whole. Christian's drive to standardize BIM in the industry led him to get involved in AASHTO, the National BIM Council, Building SMART International, the BIMForum, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)/Industry BIM Consortia, and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.

Brok Howard
Product Manager, dRofus

Brok Howard is a technologist, speaker, Architect, past BIM Manager, and global design firm implementation leader. He joined dRofus in 2015 as Customer Success Manager, turned Product Manager. Howard has participated in industry standards development, AEC hackathons, and awards committees highlighting successful industry examples.

Nathan C. Wood
Executive Director, CPC

Nathan C. Wood is the Executive Director of Construction Progress Coalition (CPC), a grassroots non-profit initiative to educate AEC professionals about the need for open interoperability standards between project delivery stakeholders. Wood’s experience with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Lean process improvement, and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) has led him to realize how even proven technology solutions can result in lost ROI when the needs of people and process are not addressed. As Executive Director of the Construction Progress Coalition (ConstructionProgress.org), he balances a passion for data insights and interoperability with stakeholder empathy and to produce pragmatic strategy for digital standards adoption in design and construction. When not fighting for open standards, Wood also supports the people and process transformation as Chief Enabling Officer of SpectrumAEC. Wood continues to support industry progress through speaking engagements, research publications, and workshop facilitation.
