Report on Building Rating and Certification in the U.S. Building Community In 2008, the National Institution of Building Sciences Board of Directors appointed a Task Group to review the current systems in use across the United States to rate and certify building performance and accredit individual expertise. The Task Group sought input from a broad range of participants in the building sector. This report, resulting from the year-long effort, contains the Task Group's recommendations to address the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of building rating systems. |  | Assessment to the U.S. Congress and U.S. Department of Energy on High Performance Buildings The National Institute of Building Sciences was one of seventeen association sponsors of the briefing to the new High Performance Building Congressional Caucus on June 18, 2008 at the Rayburn House Office Building to present the recently released report on the Assessment to the U.S. Congress and U.S. Department of Energy on High Performance Buildings.
