Mark your calendar now for the triennial Building Enclosure Science & Technology (BEST4) Conference, to be held April 13 -15, 2015, at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Hosted by the Kansas City Building Enclosure Council (BEC-Kansas City), BEST4 is themed "Performance Driven Architectural Design.” BEST4 is open to people working in all facets of the building industry and is structured to enhance understanding of challenging design changes and to provide a forum for peer-to-peer discussion. The Conference will tackle performance of the building enclosure in the context of full-building performance.

The semi-annual Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC) and Building Enclosure Council-National (BEC National) meetings will be held in Kansas City on Thursday, April 16.

Networking Events at BEST4

Come early and join us on Sunday evening, April 12, for a cocktail-hour reception to greet old friends and make new ones with like-minded people intent on creating a better built environment. Beginning Monday morning, we’ll be into three full days of presentations and intense discussions on the most pressing issues of state-of-the-art building envelope design – from thermal bridging to whole-building commissioning to zero net energy design to cutting-edge products.

Participants also are invited to take part in a dinner featuring a special guest speaker on Monday evening and a reception honoring our sponsors on Tuesday evening.

With a products expo running concurrent with the BEST4 Conference, attendees will have one-on-one opportunities to discuss building envelope products and services with some of the most knowledgeable products specialists on the continent.

Building Enclosure Science & Technology (BEST) Conferences are organized by the National Institute of Building Sciences Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council and the local chapter Building Enclosure Councils of the United States. The mission for the BEST Conferences is to explore advancements in energy efficiency, moisture control, indoor air quality and the durability of buildings. The BEST Conferences are held in alternating years with the Canadian National Building Enclosure Council and the U.S. Department of Energy Whole Buildings conferences to allow collaboration between the United States and Canadian communities.
