No need to wait any longer. The presentations from FEDCon® ‘11 — The Market Outlook Conference on Federal Construction — are now available online.
FEDCon® ’11, held December 5, 2011, during the National Institute of Building Sciences Annual Meeting in conjunction with the Ecobuild America Conference, gave attendees the opportunity to learn about federal agencies’ construction plans and budgets for the coming year directly from the decision makers as they shared the inside scoop on expected 2012 activities.
Officials from a number of federal agencies, including the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. General Services Administration, U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Transportation and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, presented their construction budgets for the current year and planned budgets for future years. They discussed the types of buildings to be designed, offered regional and international construction information, and provided the overall direction of their design/construction programs. Mike Kangior, Senior Policy Advisor, Office of Policy at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, gave the keynote during a sit-down lunch.
