INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY

Under a contract with the U.S. Access Board, NIBS continues the work of the IEQ Committee, focusing on the development of new voluntary guidelines, for the design and construction industries, on ways to improve access for people with multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) and/or electromagnetic sensitivities (EMS).  NIBS is preparing for two virtual teleconferences with an invited group of twenty professionals knowledgeable in IEQ, MCS, and EMS.  The group will discuss which of the recommendations from the Committee’s prior Report are currently addressed in guidelines, which are ready to be included in guidelines, and which require more research or another plan of action.  The IEQ report is available at http://ieq.nibs.org.
