NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION GOALS:
NIBS conducted a workshop on for the Construction and Building Subcommittee of the Technology Innovation Committee of the National Science and Technology Council. The workshop focused on National Construction Goals as they related to the commercial and institutional building sector.

National Construction Goals are available here as a PDF file. We are especially interested in suggestions about which sectors, organizations, government entities, etc., should take the lead in implementing any of the actions identified.

National Construction Goals:
- Fifty percent reduction in delivery time
- Fifty percent reduction in O&M and energy costs
- Thirty percent increase in productivity and comfort
- Fifty percent fewer occupant-related illnesses and injuries
- Fifty percent less waste and pollution
- Fifty percent increase in durability and flexibility
- Fifty percent reduction in construction worker illnesses and injuries
