The buildingSMART alliance® Board of Direction consisting of 5 members provides vision, leadership, and operational guidance for the Alliance while ensuring effective management of resources to advance the vision. Below is a roster of the Alliance's current Board.
Advocate the Alliance's mission to industry and potential funding entities
Provide input to strategic direction and assist with prioritizing programs and activities
Develop a sustainable organization that results in programs and projects that meet the business objectives of sponsors and members
Develop a leadership management program
Develop project execution criteria
Provide oversight to subcommittees’ work and projects
Coordinate business activities and financial oversight with the Institute
Officers are elected from within the council membership through a nominations process, which includes nominations at-large and from a Nominations Committee consisting of at least 3 members of the council.
