You may recently have been contacted by a company that claims to be working with the National Institute of Building Sciences on Building Innovation 2014: The Institute’s Conference and Expo. Please be advised that the Institute has no affiliation with this company and that this company is in no way connected to Building Innovation 2014.

If you have not received a call, you may receive a call or voice mail similar to the following scenario. The caller, from phone number (800) 217-4402, says that he or she represents NIBS and asks to speak to the organization’s event planner. Based on a number of different website complaints, this company’s employees have approached potential attendees for numerous conferences, falsely representing themselves to sell housing for the event.

The National Institute of Buildings Sciences does not sell attendee lists. The Institute did not supply the company with your contact information and requests that you do not respond to this solicitation.

Should you need to register for Building Innovation 2014 or sign up for housing for the event, which is being held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C., the information is all available on our website, 2014.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at any time.
