NCS Project Committee Elects New Vice Chair

The Project Committee for the nation’s leading computer-aided design (CAD) standard has selected a new vice chair. W. Edward Lowe, a CAD software coordinator with Burgess & Niple, Inc., a multidiscipline engineering and architectural firm in Painesville, Ohio, will serve as vice chair of the United States National CAD Standard (NCS) Project Committee. In his new leadership role, he will assist the Project Committee in developing a new edition of the standard, NCS Version 6. A member of the NCS Steering Committee and co-chair of the NCS Wave Task Team, Lowe is also active in buildingSMART alliance building information modeling (BIM) activities, serving as a member of the National BIM Standard-United States Project Committee. He joins NCS Chair R. Mark Butler and a yet-to-be-appointed secretary as the NCS Project Committee’s Executive Team. Get involved with NCS Version 6.
