Institute Application

The National Institute of Building Sciences has a goal of increasing collaboration among our diverse members without increasing dues for multiple-council participation. Join now and you pay one annual fee for membership to the National Institute of Building Sciences and that single fee makes you eligible to participate on any or all of the following Institute councils:

  • Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC)
  • Building Seismic Safety Council (BSSC) – board approval required
  • buildingSMART alliance Council (bSa)
  • High Performance Building Council (HPBC) – open to organizations only
  • Multihazard Mitigation Council (MMC) – board approval required

If your interests are focused on a specific area of the Institute's work, you may elect to contribute additional financial support through restricted donations to the program of your choice. Members who wish to extend their support to all of the Institute's programs, also may provide additional support through non-restricted contributions.
