The final preparations for the National BIM Standard - United States™ Version 2 continue to move forward (the release is expected toward the end of March 2012). Upon completion of the new edition, the buildingSMART alliance also will be kicking off an education effort around the items included in the standard. Stay tuned for educational courses related to the Construction Operations Building information exchange (COBie), OmniClass, Industry Foundation Classes (IFCs) and other aspects of the standard. Taught by experts, the webinars will be assembled and available through the Alliance website. Watch for announcements in the near future.
