The Commonwealth of Virginia is looking for ways to optimize its assets related to capital expenditures and sees many of the Institutes programs supporting their efforts. In response to a request by Emory Rogers, Institute board member and Deputy Director of the Building and Fire Regulation Division at the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, the Institute has provided facility specialists and code officials from around the Commonwealth with presentations on several of its programs related to the buildingSMART aliance™, including ProjNetSM, COBie, and National BIM Standard – United States™.
