The Consultative Council advises and supports the Institute by making findings and recommendations for presentation to the President of the United States on developing and applying science and technology to improve the built environment in the public interest through standards, codes, regulations, and industry practices affecting the design, construction and operation of buildings. Members of the Council include the key organizations representing major aspects of the building community.
