The National Institute of Building Sciences will present FEDCon '07 on December 11, 2007 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.  FEDCon will be co-located with AEC-ST^® Fall and Ecobuild^® Fall conference and exhibition.

FEDCon will provide an opportunity for federal agencies to present their construction programs to the building community. The agencies' presentations will outline the construction budget for the current year, planned budgets for future years, predominant building types to be designed, regional/international construction information, plans and directions of the design/construction program, significant areas of interest, and other useful information for private sector architects, engineers, general and specialty contractors, and product manufactures who have an interest in providing their services or products to the federal construction market. This year's presentations will include speakers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, U.S. Air Force, General Services Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of State, and Department of Defense.

The one-day FEDCon 2007 Conference will be followed by the FEDspec Conference on December 12 and the buildingSMART^®  Conference on December 13. All three programs are co-located with the Ecobuild^® Fall  – Sustainable, Green, and High Performance Solutions for the Built Environment and AEC-ST^® Fall  – Science & Technology for Architecture, Engineering & Construction conference and exhibition. The entire 3-day conference and 2-day exhibit spans December 10-13, 2007

During the three-day Ecobuild Fall and AEC-ST programs NIBS will also conduct a number of committee meetings including:

• The Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG) Board and Advisory Committee Meeting: Monday December 10 – 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
• The Facility Maintenance and Operation Committee Meeting (FMOC): Monday, December 10 – 2:00 – 4:30 p.m., and
• The Facility Information Council Annual Meeting (FIC): Wednesday, December 12 – 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
