A co-developer of the Whole Building Design Guide, he has extensive knowledge of the integrated design process, sustainable design principles, facility security, acoustics and energy efficient products and systems. Previously, Paradis was the Manager of the Federal Buildings Program for the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC). He was project manager, curriculum developer, and a presenter for the Federal Emergency Management Program workshop series, “Design Strategies for Low-Energy, Sustainable Secure Buildings.” Before coming to SBIC, Paradis worked for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in the areas of security, acoustics, energy conservation, and design criteria and specifications.
