  National Institute of Building Sciences Consultative Council

The Consultative Council is comprised of the chairs and other designated members from each of the councils and committees of the National Institute of Building Sciences, as well as representatives from the Institute’s Board of Directors.

The Council is charged to:

  • Provide a forum for communication and coordination of activities among the Institute's councils and committees.
  • Meet and report to the Institute's Board of Directors on the Consultative Council’s activities and matters deemed of interest, and make recommendations to the Board for action.
  • Provide, maintain and oversee a consensus process for the Institute projects and programs assigned to the Consultative Council by the Board of Directors.
  • Report to the Board of Directors on the progress and/or results of any consensus project assigned to the Consultative Council by the Board of Directors.
  • Perform such other functions as the may be required of it by the Institute bylaws or as directed by the Board of Directors.
