2006 Annual Report
to the President of the United States
In 2006, NIBS continued its broad
and far-reaching benefits to the public through its many cooperative
programs with virtually all federal agencies with building-related
responsibilities and many private sector organizations. Our projects
have addressed energy and environmental issues, mitigation of man-made
and natural hazards, the development, management and dissemination of
technical building information and criteria, and the development of new
age tools and standards to foster virtual modeling for design,
construction and improved performance analysis. These and NIBS’ many
other initiatives are presented in the attached 2006
